Best of the Jollyville City Limits Open Mic

Howdy folks, Welcome to the Best of the Jollyville City Limits Open Mic page. Jollyville City Limits (JCL) began its life as an open mic started by David Patrick Dunn in 1995, the open mic is now entering its tenth year of Sunday nights at BB Rover's. Hosted by volunteers and members of the Austin Songwriters Group, the open mic has been and continues to be a wonderful venue for artists to share their songs with a welcoming community of singer songwriters and music lovers. JCL was created with the idea of giving back to the music community of Austin by providing a vehicle for up and coming performers of all types to capture and distribute live performances of their music and tell the story behind the music with interviews and narratives about their songs. In addition to the usual Sunday night open mic, the folks at Jollyville City Limits created a "Best of the JCL Open Mic" series. Each week a performer from the open mic is nominated by that week's hosts to play at the next Best of the JCL Open Mic, which is taped live and made available here at Bourland Music.
